I arrived at McConnell about 73 days ago into a situation similarly ran as the micheals unit during Covid-19. Up to this point recreation has not been ran once ever. We are being underfed greatly getting one normal meal on a tray about every two weeks. The unit was on lockdown for thirty days then off one day only to go another thirty with no normal commissary yet. On the food per policy we are supposed to have close to 8,000 calories per meal and two sandwiches per meal are not anywhere close to this amount. This is a direct violation of statutory policy. Showers are supposedly every 72 hours and this is strictly mistreatment of offenders by only showering us close to 14-20 days

Cell maintenance checks are by policy routine and my sink has been plugged up for five days now barely draining along with water pressure needing to be adjusted. Staff has been notified multiple times. The air conditioner was adjusted temperature wise but the volume control has not been turned up to accommodate the increased heat index leaving it sweltering everyday. Staff has been notified. To Mental Health I have written a total of six sick calls only to be rescheduled then told its due to short staffing. My medications need to be adjusted and have been ignored by staff for a simple telepsych appointment. All these are direct violations.
