My name is Israel Garcia Cajas Jr.
Im from San Angelo tx.
I've Been in Solitary Confinement for 22 years on and off Being that im tagged and Classified as A member of a Security threat group (STG) an have a gang Affiliation.
As im sure you know TDCJ uses bias Classification systems which only tags hispanics and whites as STG. No matter what charges you are in for.
for example im here on a drug charge
Being that im STG ill have to do half if not more of this 25 year sentence Back here in Ad Seg. TDCJ does not offer treatment programs an Educational Classes to Ad Seg inmates, and this diversions Mental health program is a joke. I cant wait to Be done with it. hopefully I can get Closer to home when i complete it. that’s one of the selling points of the program. they say all kinds of good things But all ive seen is B.S. I suffer from PTSD. have for years. Just never took the steps to understand it.
Since loseing my mother to Covid-19 ive gone threw a deppresion in the past year that hurt me not only mentally But spiritually and all the Above. Im in a better place now But man it was dark there for A minute. And im so far Away from home i dont get visits and the last time i seen her was threw A window at the county jail in 2015! Like i Said im hopeing to get closer to home so that i can get visits my dad is getting old and my kids are grown and haveing families of there own. Maybe just maybe ill get my wish and get transfered to Abilene tx there Robertsen unit thats an hour away from San Angelo :) you are probably thinking “man i dont even know this dude and he is expressing his self like this”. hell i got your address from my Bro Don and he has nothing But good things to say About you. So i thought i would take the time to write. I have nothing else to do with my free time :) Being in this Cage 23 hours a day! Well not sure what will become of this letter. So with that ill Close. Stay Safe and keep pushing Respectfully
